“Who could not be moved by the sight of that poor, demoralized rabble, outwitted, outflanked, outmaneuvered by the U.S. military? Yet, given time, I think the press will bounce back.”
—James Baker (b. 1930)
“Essential truth, the truth of the intellectualists, the truth with no one thinking it, is like the coat that fits tho no one has ever tried it on, like the music that no ear has listened to. —William James (18421910)
“The Queen has lands and gold, Mother

—Amelia Edwards (18311892)
