Community Portal
ISIS has also established a community-based web environment that provides intranet and internet hosting for member organizations. Built on Microsoft SharePoint, the ISIS Community Portal website already houses resources for European, Australasian and Dutch Zoo and Aquaria Associations. Additionally, services are provided to groups focused on global conservation effort such as the Amphibian ARK, Conservation Breeding Specialist Group and a network of South Asian zoos and aquariums.

Famous quotes containing the words community and/or portal:
“Populism is folkish, patriotism is not. One can be a patriot and a cosmopolitan. But a populist is inevitably a nationalist of sorts. Patriotism, too, is less racist than is populism. A patriot will not exclude a person of another nationality from the community where they have lived side by side and whom he has known for many years, but a populist will always remain suspicious of someone who does not seem to belong to his tribe.”
—John Lukacs (b. 1924)
“Little scavenger away,
touch not the door,
beat not the portal down.”
—Hilda Doolittle (1886–1961)
