Present Day Spain

Nowadays in the Spanish armed forces, the title Intendant refers to a Colonel in the Supply Branch either in the Navy, Army or Air Force. It is also used in some branches of the administration such as the Catalonian Local Police, (Mossos de Escuadra in Spanish) or in some Autonomous Communities (Comunidades Autónomas).
