The Institute of the Incarnate Word or IVE (Spanish: Instituto del Verbo Encarnado) is a Roman Catholic religious institute founded in Argentina on March 25, 1984, by Fr. Carlos Miguel Buela. The IVE is present in over fifty countries with both active and contemplative branches. The seminary for the Institute of the Incarnate Word in the United States, the Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen House of Formation, was started in 1998 in Chillum, Maryland, near Washington, D.C.
