The group's journal, Indian Ocean Survey, is published twice a year, and is edited by Professor P V Rao. In 2010 group has launched a journal called "Journal of the Indian Ocean Region".Published By: Routledge. The principle objective of the journal "is to function as a facilitator and propagator of social science interdisciplinary policy-oriented research on the nature and impact of the human uses of the Indian Ocean Region (IOR), with the overall objective of realising comprehensive security"*.
