Use As A Weapon
A mountaineering ice axe, often incorrectly referred to as an "ice pick", was used in the assassination of Leon Trotsky by Ramón Mercader in Mexico City in 1940. An ice axe was also used in the 2005 murder of Anthony Walker in the United Kingdom.
