I Pledge Allegiance To The Grind

I Pledge Allegiance to the Grind is Killer Mike's second studio album, released in October 2006. It introduces Grind Time Rap Gang members SL Jones, Nario, Bigg Slimm, Da Bill Collector, and Rock D The Legend. On the song "That's Life" he criticizes Oprah Winfrey, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Bill Cosby for not caring about poor people.

Famous quotes containing the words pledge, allegiance and/or grind:

I am heartily tired of this life of bondage, responsibility, and toil. I wish it was at an end.... We are both physically very healthy.... Our tempers are cheerful. We are social and popular. But it is one of our greatest comforts that the pledge not to take a second term relieves us from considering it. That was a lucky thing. It is a reform—or rather a precedent for a reform, which will be valuable.
    Rutherford Birchard Hayes (1822–1893)

Mine honesty and I begin to square.
The loyalty well held to fools does make
Our faith mere folly; yet he that can endure
To follow with allegiance a fall’n lord
Does conquer him that did his master conquer
And earns a place i’ the story.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

Politics is, as it were, the gizzard of society, full of grit and gravel, and the two political parties are its two opposite halves,—sometimes split into quarters, it may be, which grind on each other.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
