The company creates award winning solutions for the transport, utilities, property and environmental sectors whilst currently building skills and capabilities in two emerging sectors; energy and resources.

As one of the world’s longest established engineering consultancies, with a heritage of over 150 years, Hyder has created landmark designs across the globe including the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Cairo wastewater scheme and London’s Tower Bridge amongst many others. In recent years they have designed the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, Australia’s Go Between bridge, Qatar’s Capital Market Tower, Frankfurt Airport’s new runway, Taiwan’s high speed rail network, and undertaken landscaping work on the ‘greening’ of Hong Kong.

Hyder’s global workforce of approximately 3,800 experts across the UK, Germany, Middle East, Asia and Australia offer a comprehensive range of planning, engineering, environmental and management consultancy services. Hyder has been listed on the London Stock Exchange since October 2002. The name Hyder is the Welsh word for "confidence".
