Mogadishu ( /ˌmɒɡəˈdɪʃuː/; Somali: Muqdisho, popularly حَمَر Xamar ; Arabic: مقديشو Maqadīshū; literally "The Seat of the Shah") is the largest city in Somalia and the nation's capital.
