Health Care in Mexico - Quality

Quality

With many physicians from the U.S. having received their training in Mexico, and with many Mexican doctors having received at least part of their training in the United States, the quality of Mexican health care has been reported to be comparable to that in the United States: "in general, health care in Mexico is very good…and in many places it is excellent." Lower medical costs than the U.S. have been found to bear no relationship to the quality of medical attention and knowledge about health care provided in Mexico. Mexican hospitals are equipped to first world standards, use modern equipment and hygiene and many Mexican doctors received their training in the US. When it comes to diagnosis and treatment, Americans receiving treatment in Mexico say it is just as good as in the United States - and sometimes better.

Famous quotes containing the word quality:

The quality of American life is an insult to the possibilities of human growth ... the pollution of American space, with gadgetry and cars and TV and box architecture, brutalizes the senses, making gray neurotics of most of us, and perverse spiritual athletes and strident self-transcenders of the best of us.
    Susan Sontag (b. 1933)

Reverence is the highest quality of man’s nature; and that individual, or nation, which has it slightly developed, is so far unfortunate. It is a strong spiritual instinct, and seeks to form channels for itself where none exists; thus Americans, in the dearth of other objects to worship, fall to worshipping themselves.
    Lydia M. Child (1802–1880)

The quality of a man’s mind can generally be judged by the size of his wastepaper basket.
    José Bergamín (1895–1983)
