Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival

The Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival is an annual music festival held in downtown Fredericton, New Brunswick that features blues, jazz and world music.

Founded in 1991, the festival is the largest musical event held in the city each year. Events take place on twelve official tents and stages, and at many permanent local venues.

Famous quotes containing the words harvest, jazz, blues and/or festival:

You are the harvest and not the reaper
And of your domain another is the keeper.
    John Ashbery (b. 1927)

There’s more bad music in jazz than any other form. Maybe that’s because the audience doesn’t really know what’s happening.
    Pat Metheny (b. 1954)

Holly Golightly: You know those days when you’ve got the mean reds?
Paul: The mean reds? You mean like the blues?
Holly Golightly: No, the blues are because you’re getting fat or maybe it’s been raining too long. You’re just sad, that’s all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you’re afraid and you don’t know what you’re afraid of.
    George Axelrod (b. 1922)

Marry, I cannot show it in rhyme, I have tried; I can find no rhyme to “lady” but “baby”Man innocent rhyme; for “scorn,” “horn”Ma hard rhyme; for “school,” “fool”Ma babbling rhyme; very ominous endings. No, I was not born under a rhyming planet, nor I cannot woo in festival terms.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
