Behavior
In captivity, this tarantula regularly renews the webbing of its burrow, commonly filling the entire container. It feeds frequently and is a fast-grower. While many are skittish and nervous, some individuals are calm and docile, though running very quickly when disturbed. Some, when disturbed, are very possessive and show threat displays guarding their burrows.

Famous quotes containing the word behavior:
“If you are willing to inconvenience yourself in the name of discipline, the battle is half over. Leave Grandmas early if the children are acting impossible. Depart the ballpark in the sixth inning if youve warned the kids and their behavior is still poor. If we do something like this once, our kids will remember it for a long time.”
—Fred G. Gosman (20th century)
“To a first approximation, the intentional strategy consists of treating the object whose behavior you want to predict as a rational agent with beliefs and desires and other mental states exhibiting what Brentano and others call intentionality.”
—Daniel Clement Dennett (b. 1942)
“No one knows better than children how much they need the authority that protects, that sets the outer limits of behavior with known and prescribed consequences. As one little boy expressed it to his mother, You care what I do.”
—Leontine Young (20th century)
