Method of Preparation

First, squeeze the juice from a piece of ginger, then filter the juice finely and put into a bowl. Next, dissolve sugar in milk, then heat until it simmers. Take off heat immediately and allow it to cool a little. Finally, pour the mixture quickly into the bowl of ginger juice and wait for two to three minutes. The milk will then solidify, and may be eaten with a spoon.

Famous quotes containing the words method of, method and/or preparation:

Government by average opinion is merely a circuitous method of going to the devil; those who profess to lead but in fact slavishly follow this average opinion are simply the fastest runners and the loudest squeakers of the herd which is rushing blindly down to its destruction.
    Thomas Henry Huxley (1825–95)

The most passionate, consistent, extreme and implacable enemy of the Enlightenment and ... all forms of rationalism ... was Johann Georg Hamann. His influence, direct and indirect, upon the romantic revolt against universalism and scientific method ... was considerable and perhaps crucial.
    Isaiah Berlin (b. 1909)

Living each day as a preparation for the next is an exciting way to live. Looking forward to something is much more fun than looking back at something—and much more constructive. If we can prepare ourselves so that we never have to think, “Oh, if I had only known, if I had only been ready,” our lives can really be the great adventure we so passionately want them to be.
    Hortense Odlum (1892–?)
