Financial Services Work

Morris gained international prominence when in 1998, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) "blacklisted" "International Financial Centres", (IFC) referring to them as "tax havens". Whilst financial services is a critical component of international finance, Morris is one of few scholars/advisors who work in the arena of the structural formalities of Financial Centres. Famous quotes containing the words financial, services and/or work:

For the merchant, even honesty is a financial speculation.
    Charles Baudelaire (1821–1867)

Civil servants and priests, soldiers and ballet-dancers, schoolmasters and police constables, Greek museums and Gothic steeples, civil list and services list—the common seed within which all these fabulous beings slumber in embryo is taxation.
    Karl Marx (1818–1883)

Your children get a lot of good stuff out of your work...They benefit from the tales you tell over dinner. They learn from the things you explain to them about what you do. They brag about you at school. They learn that work is interesting, that it has dignity, that it is necessary and pleasing, and that it is a perfectly natural thing for both mothers and fathers to do...Your work enriches your children more than it deprives them.
    Louise Lague (20th century)
