Famous quotes containing the words yer, rolling, stones and/or concert:

    It ain’t home t’ ye, though it be the palace of a king,
    Until somehow yer soul is sort o’ wrapped round everything.
    Edgar Albert Guest (1881–1959)

    Look, we’re all the same; a man is a fourteen-room house—in the bedroom he’s asleep with his intelligent wife, in the living-room he’s rolling around with some bareass girl, in the library he’s paying his taxes, in the yard he’s raising tomatoes, and in the cellar he’s making a bomb to blow it all up.
    Arthur Miller (b. 1915)

    Do you not hear me calling, white deer with no horns?
    I have been changed to a hound with one red ear;
    I have been in the Path of Stones and the Wood of Thorns....
    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)

    Science is unflinchingly deterministic, and it has begun to force its determinism into morals. On some shining tomorrow a psychoanalyst may be put into the box to prove that perjury is simply a compulsion neurosis, like beating time with the foot at a concert or counting the lampposts along the highway.
    —H.L. (Henry Lewis)
