Gaither Homecoming - Television Series

Television Series

The video series has been repackaged into a series of hour long and half-hour long television shows. Most of these shows have appeared on religious-oriented cable television channels such as TBN—sometimes in the form of an infomercial used to sell the videos. Since 2004, one version of the series, titled Classic Gospel, has appeared on many PBS stations, uninterrupted by commercials promoting the videos.

Famous quotes containing the words television and/or series:

There was a girl who was running the traffic desk, and there was a woman who was on the overnight for radio as a producer, and my desk assistant was a woman. So when the world came to an end, we took over.
Marya McLaughlin, U.S. television newswoman. As quoted in Women in Television News, ch. 3, by Judith S. Gelfman (1976)

The professional celebrity, male and female, is the crowning result of the star system of a society that makes a fetish of competition. In America, this system is carried to the point where a man who can knock a small white ball into a series of holes in the ground with more efficiency than anyone else thereby gains social access to the President of the United States.
    C. Wright Mills (1916–1962)
