Later Life

Brown became chairman of selectors for the England team in 1953, and was later still an energetic administrator for the game. He managed two MCC tours, and worked as a member of BBC Radio's Test Match Special commentary team.

Brown died in July 1991 in Ramsbury, Wiltshire, at the age of 80.
