Florida Commuter Airlines Crash - Complete Passenger Manifest

Complete Passenger Manifest

Passenger Jack Levenson had initially booked the flight for (13) friends and colleagues on the airline's much smaller Piper Navajo, paying $400 for the trip. As the Navajo seats a maximum of (7) passsngers, the decision was made to use the DC-3 aircraft. In order to fill the excess seats, the airline informally sold tickets for as low as $18 to airline business partners This resulted in large numbers of passengers who were acquaintances.

Famous quotes containing the words complete, passenger and/or manifest:

We have lost the art of living; and in the most important science of all, the science of daily life, the science of behaviour, we are complete ignoramuses. We have psychology instead.
    —D.H. (David Herbert)

Every American travelling in England gets his own individual sport out of the toy passenger and freight trains and the tiny locomotives, with their faint, indignant, tiny whistle. Especially in western England one wonders how the business of a nation can possibly be carried on by means so insufficient.
    Willa Cather (1876–1947)

It matters little comparatively whether the fields fill the farmer’s barn. The true husbandman will cease from anxiety, as the squirrels manifest no concern whether the woods will bear chestnuts this year or not, and finish his labor with every day, relinquishing all claim to the produce of his fields, and sacrificing in his mind not only his first but his last fruits also.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
