Famous quotes containing the words feminist, ethics and/or future:

A good part—and definitely the most fun part—of being a feminist is about frightening men.
    Julie Burchill (b. 1960)

Ethics and religion differ herein; that the one is the system of human duties commencing from man; the other, from God. Religion includes the personality of God; Ethics does not.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

In no nation are the institutions of progress more advanced. In no nation are the fruits of accomplishment more secure. In no nation is the government more worthy of respect. No country is more loved by its people. I have an abiding faith in their capacity, integrity and high purpose. I have no fears for the future of our country. It is bright with hope.
    Herbert Hoover (1874–1964)
