Television Show
A pilot loosely based on the series and given the same name starring Rachael Leigh Cook as Gaia was filmed for The WB. The show took place 5 years after the original Fearless series of books with Gaia now 23 working as an agent for the FBI. The show never made it to air due to casting and other concerns. Its time slot was later filled with One Tree Hill on the network's fall schedule, though it was later considered a serious contender for a mid-season replacement. The pilot was filmed a second time, but issues over the main character could not be resolved. Producers could not show a character without a fear gene showing emotion in a convincing fashion.

Famous quotes containing the words television and/or show:
“The television screen, so unlike the movie screen, sharply reduced human beings, revealed them as small, trivial, flat, in two banal dimensions, drained of color. Wasnt there something reassuring about it!that human beings were in fact merely images of a kind registered in one anothers eyes and brains, phenomena composed of microscopic flickering dots like atoms. They were atomsnothing more. A quick switch of the dial and they disappeared and who could lament the loss?”
—Joyce Carol Oates (b. 1938)
“You must come down with me after the show to the lumber yard and ride piggy-back on the buzz saws.”
—W.C. Fields, U.S. screenwriter, George Marshall, and Eddie Cline. Larsen E. Whipsnade (W.C. Fields)
