Eric Snow - Personal Life and Philanthropy

Personal Life and Philanthropy

Snow is the younger brother of former linebacker Percy Snow, who also played at Michigan State University, and for both the Kansas City Chiefs and the Chicago Bears of the NFL. Eric Snow has stated he would like to coach after his NBA playing career is over.

Snow's ex-wife, DeShawn, was one of the main subjects in the first season of Bravo TV's reality series The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which premiered in October, 2008. DeShawn was not invited back for the second season; according to her, producers said it was because she was "too human for a circus show" and did not create enough drama. The couple have 3 boys together.

Snow founded the Shoot for the Moon Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting and strengthening communities and families within the northeast section of Ohio, through an emphasis and concentration on community activities aimed at empowering and encouraging fathers.

Famous quotes containing the words personal life, personal, life and/or philanthropy:

A man lives not only his personal life, as an individual, but also, consciously or unconsciously, the life of his epoch and his contemporaries.
    Thomas Mann (1875–1955)

The secret point of money and power in America is neither the things that money can buy nor power for power’s sake ... but absolute personal freedom, mobility, privacy. It is the instinct which drove America to the Pacific, all through the nineteenth century, the desire to be able to find a restaurant open in case you want a sandwich, to be a free agent, live by one’s own rules.
    Joan Didion (b. 1934)

You have nothing more to fear. Not death nor decay. Here in this cup is my gift of life to you. I’m going to make you immortal. And I, too, shall drink and be immortal. We will not return to Egypt. Our world shall be wide, our time shall be without end. Has any man before offered a gift of eternal life to his bride?
Griffin Jay, and Reginald LeBorg. Yousef Bey (John Carradine)

I shall not be forward to think him mistaken in his method who quickest succeeds to liberate the slave. I speak for the slave when I say that I prefer the philanthropy of Captain Brown to that philanthropy which neither shoots me nor liberates me.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
