Enterprise Asset Management - EAM System Challenges

EAM System Challenges

EAM systems need a lot of high quality data to track and analyze the execution of business processes. Capturing data in the field using traditional paper forms and manually inputting it into the EAM system often turns out to be too expensive to be practical. This often slows adoption and erodes the ROI of many EAM deployments.

EAM systems are often not integrated with the rest of the company's enterprise systems (including purchasing, HR, inventory, etc.), which increases management overhead and prevents the organization from realizing the system's full potential.

Famous quotes containing the words system and/or challenges:

For the universe has three children, born at one time, which reappear, under different names, in every system of thought, whether they be called cause, operation, and effect; or, more poetically, Jove, Pluto, Neptune; or, theologically, the Father, the Spirit, and the Son; but which we will call here, the Knower, the Doer, and the Sayer. These stand respectively for the love of truth, for the love of good, and for the love of beauty.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

The approval of the public is to be avoided like the plague. It is absolutely essential to keep the public from entering if one wishes to avoid confusion. I must add that the public must be kept panting in expectation at the gate by a system of challenges and provocations.
    André Breton (1896–1966)
