Current Measurement

Current can be measured using an ammeter.

At the circuit level, there are various techniques that can be used to measure current:

  • Shunt resistors
  • Hall effect current sensor transducers
  • Transformers (however DC cannot be measured)
  • Magnetoresistive field sensors
