Health-Voice Problems and Treatment

Edu Falaschi is one of the best singers of Brazil. However he was getting a lot criticism for his live performances with Angra and it was clear that his voice got weaker after his amazing performances at "Rebirth" and "Temple Of Shadows".The worst performance by far from him was at Rock In rio 2011 and after that he started his treatment. Edu Falaschi talked about this problems in an interview for a Russian website at this year(2012). http://www.headbanger.ru/interviews/310?lng=en

"The problem wasn’t with my vocal chords, I had a reflux problem. It’s something that happens in your stomach - when you start eating things that are not so good, like Coca Cola or coffee, your acid starts becoming bigger and bigger and then you feel the acid going up into your vocal chords. Formally I didn’t have any problem with my vocal chords, my vocal chords were OK, but I had a high level of acid so often that I needed a break. I started singing very bad, and I didn’t know why. When I would go to doctors, they would say I was fine, they didn’t see any problem with my vocal chords. It was only a few years later when I found out that the problem was with the acid. Then I started getting treatment, and my voice started to become better and better. Nowadays my voice is OK, and this is very nice. I can sing Angra songs normally again, as I did in 2001 and 2002."

Famous quotes containing the words problems and/or treatment:

Hats have never at all been one of the vexing problems of my life, but, indifferent as I am, these render me speechless. I should think a well-taught and tasteful American milliner would go mad in England, and eventually hang herself with bolts of green and scarlet ribbon—the favorite colour combination in Liverpool.
    Willa Cather (1876–1947)

I will use treatment to help the sick according to my ability and judgment, but never with a view to injury and wrongdoing. Neither will I administer a poison to anybody when asked to do so, nor will I suggest such a course. Similarly, I will not give to a woman a pessary to cause abortion. I will keep pure and holy both my life and my art.
    Hippocrates (c. 460–c. 370 B.C.)
