Easton Area High School

Easton Area High School is a four-year public high school located in Palmer Township, Northampton County, in the Lehigh Valley area of Pennsylvania. It is part of the Easton Area School District. The school's colors are red and white (although black is used in many of the school's sports uniforms) and its mascot is the Red Rover. In 2009 Easton High School was divided into two separate learning communities. The current principals of Easton Area High School are Jeanette Kassis (Grades 9-10) and Michael Koch (Grades 11-12). An administrative restructuring of the school district in 2009 dictated a change to the two principal model, and lead to the subsequent retirement of William Rider as Head Principal.

Famous quotes containing the words high school, area, high and/or school:

Young people of high school age can actually feel themselves changing. Progress is almost tangible. It’s exciting. It stimulates more progress. Nevertheless, growth is not constant and smooth. Erik Erikson quotes an aphorism to describe the formless forming of it. “I ain’t what I ought to be. I ain’t what I’m going to be, but I’m not what I was.”
    Stella Chess (20th century)

I am aware of the damp souls of housemaids
    Sprouting despondently at area gates.
    —T.S. (Thomas Stearns)

As high as mind stands above nature, so high does the state stand above physical life. Man must therefore venerate the state as a secular deity.... The march of God in the world, that is what the State is.
    Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770–1831)

It’s a rare parent who can see his or her child clearly and objectively. At a school board meeting I attended . . . the only definition of a gifted child on which everyone in the audience could agree was “mine.”
    Jane Adams (20th century)
