Early Decision - Possible Outcomes of Early Decision

Possible Outcomes of Early Decision

Typically, a candidate who has applied early decision can receive one of three outcomes in December. He or she may be admitted, in which case they are bound to attend the school which admitted them; rejected, in which case they will not be able to attend the school; or deferred, in which case they will be reconsidered for admission with the second round of early decision applications or with the regular decision pool and notified later with their final decision. Generally when an applicant is deferred he or she is released from their binding early decision agreement.

Famous quotes containing the words early and/or decision:

They circumcised women, little girls, in Jesus’s time. Did he know? Did the subject anger or embarrass him? Did the early church erase the record? Jesus himself was circumcised; perhaps he thought only the cutting done to him was done to women, and therefore, since he survived, it was all right.
    Alice Walker (b. 1944)

The decision to feed the world
is the real decision. No revolution
has chosen it. For that choice requires
    that women shall be free.
    Adrienne Rich (b. 1929)
