Inbound Duty Free
Some countries, including Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Denmark (CPH - Copenhagen Airport), Iceland, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Malaysia, New Zealand, Norway, Sri Lanka, Panama, the Philippines, and Switzerland have inwards duty free facilities, where arriving passengers can purchase duty free items immediately before going through customs. This not only saves the inconvenience of having to carry these items around the world but also solves the security problem mentioned above. Other countries such as Canada and Sweden have been considering duty free on arrival.

Famous quotes containing the words duty and/or free:
“The duty of government is to leave commerce to its own capital and credit as well as all other branches of business, protecting all in their legal pursuits, granting exclusive privileges to none.”
—Andrew Jackson (17671845)
“The English people believes itself to be free; it is gravely mistaken; it is free only during election of members of parliament; as soon as the members are elected, the people is enslaved; it is nothing. In the brief moment of its freedom, the English people makes such a use of that freedom that it deserves to lose it.”
—Jean-Jacques Rousseau (17121778)
