School Athletics
Dougherty Comprehensive High School has received strong attraction from the media coverage statewide and locally in the Southwest Georgia region. For the past three decades Dougherty High enjoyed its moderate success in the athletic program. As of 2008, Donald Poole is the school's athletic director and also serves as the head coach of the Dougherty High Trojans Boys basketball team.
