  • FCCLA

To promote growth and leadership development through family and consumer sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader. The members develop skills for life. The motto is, "Toward New Horizons".

  • JGG

Jobs for Georgia's Graduates is a school-to-work transition program for seniors. JGG prepares students for the world of work and maintains higher education.

  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes provides Christian fellowship opportunities. FCA members meet on Tuesday mornings for prayer and devotionals. The organization included meets periodically at the flag pole for prayer.

  • Alpha Mentee

Dougherty High School Alpha Mentee Organization has been existence at Dougherty High since 2000. The organization is designed to build character education, to familiarize high school students with basic life skills, such as developing self-discipline, having high self-esteem, and promoting positive values. The DCHS Alpha Mentee program also allows members to be involved in number service projects for the Albany community such as local nursing home visits and seasonal food drives every year in November and December. DCHS Alpha Mentee take part of 1 or 2 college visitations per year to serve student members that chooses to continue their education at a four institution or serve in a respectable military service. The Alpha Mentee organization is networked and affiliated under Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.

  • Future Business Leaders of America

Dougherty High's Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is under Georgia FBLA. Georgia FBLA is a nonprofit student organization committed to preparing today's students for success in business leadership. With over more than 75 members, DCHS FBLA is the premiere organization for student leaders. The DCHS FBLA mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. The mission of FBLA official motto: Service, Education, and Progress.

  • Trojan City Bank

Trojan City Bank is a financial in-school bank service that serves students monetary accounts. The Trojan City Bank opened on November 5, 2003. Dougherty High became the first and only DCSS school to open its first school bank operation, until Monroe High school became the second high school to start a bank operation (as of 2007). In prior to work for the TCB, students are required to go through training of financial operations before serving financial actions toward the customers who are students of DCHS.

  • MJROTC is a training and class for students who learns about honest and character of positivity of being a leader.
