Diamonds in the Dark is an EP by the Mystery Jets. Originally just to be a single, the Diamonds in the Dark EP was released on 4 September 2006 on 679 Recordings. It includes "Scarecrows in the Rain", a tribute to the late Syd Barrett which the band claimed they wrote in just hours. Three of the tracks were recorded by producer Erol Alkan. The EP is available on CD, 7" vinyl and a limited edition 7" vinyl.
Famous quotes containing the words diamonds and/or dark:
“Shuffled between caring and disgrace
I took up all our closet space.
What luxury we first checked into,
to growl like lawyers until I threw
my diamonds and cash upon the floor.”
—Anne Sexton (1928–1974)
“While the white man keeps the impetus of his own proud, onward march, the dark races will yield and serve, perforce. But let the white man once have a misgiving about his own leadership, and the dark races will at once attack him, to pull him down into the old gulfs.”
—D.H. (David Herbert)
