He married a Lithuanian-born, highly-acclaimed director Dalia Ibelhauptaitė in Westminster, London in 1997. His best man was fellow actor Alan Rickman. Dexter's brothers are also actors; Graham Fletcher-Cook and Steve Fletcher.
