Career

He started his show business career as one of the hosts of the Saturday entertainment magazine talk show Entertainment Konek. A former VJ of MTV Philippines, he also hosted a celebrity dance program, U Can Dance for two seasons.

After playing the supporting characters of Kahimu in Ang Panday and Machete in Super Inggo, Ramsay got his first lead role as chef Mito Valenzuela in Ysabella. He signed a four-picture exclusive contract with Star Cinema.

Ramsay idolized his mentor Paquito Caporte. He thought he had half his good looks.

In 2011, he starred in back-to-back blockbuster films, the sexy adult-drama No Other Woman and the comedy film Praybeyt Benjamin which stars comedian Vice Ganda. Ramsay is now a certified "kapatid" of TV 5.

Famous quotes containing the word career:

Work-family conflicts—the trade-offs of your money or your life, your job or your child—would not be forced upon women with such sanguine disregard if men experienced the same career stalls caused by the-buck-stops-here responsibility for children.
    Letty Cottin Pogrebin (20th century)

Whether lawyer, politician or executive, the American who knows what’s good for his career seeks an institutional rather than an individual identity. He becomes the man from NBC or IBM. The institutional imprint furnishes him with pension, meaning, proofs of existence. A man without a company name is a man without a country.
    Lewis H. Lapham (b. 1935)

What exacerbates the strain in the working class is the absence of money to pay for services they need, economic insecurity, poor daycare, and lack of dignity and boredom in each partner’s job. What exacerbates it in upper-middle class is the instability of paid help and the enormous demands of the career system in which both partners become willing believers. But the tug between traditional and egalitarian models of marriage runs from top to bottom of the class ladder.
    Arlie Hochschild (20th century)
