Derby Moor Community Sports College 2008. In 1966 the school moved into this building. At that time, the panels were painted yellow, attracting many flies from local fields, and the entrance at the left of the picture was the one used by pupils up to the Upper Fifth forms. A larger entrance, further to the left, was used by staff and sixth-formers.

Famous quotes containing the words lane, site and/or gallery:
“Life is a thin narrowness of taken-for-granted, a plank over a canyon in a fog. There is something under our feet, the taken-for-granted. A table is a table, food is food, we are webecause we dont question these things. And science is the enemy because it is the questioner. Faith saves our souls alive by giving us a universe of the taken-for-granted.”
—Rose Wilder Lane (18861968)
“That is a pathetic inquiry among travelers and geographers after the site of ancient Troy. It is not near where they think it is. When a thing is decayed and gone, how indistinct must be the place it occupied!”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“To a person uninstructed in natural history, his country or sea-side stroll is a walk through a gallery filled with wonderful works of art, nine-tenths of which have their faces turned to the wall. Teach him something of natural history, and you place in his hands a catalogue of those which are worth turning round.”
—Thomas Henry Huxley (182595)
