Family
Erickson and his wife, Marilyn, have two sons - Bryce and Ryan. Erickson hired Bryce to the Arizona State staff, as a graduate assistant for first two seasons. In 2012, Bryce became the head coach at South Albany High School in Albany, Oregon. Later that year, he was hired as an assistant coach for Idaho.
