Deesa is well known for its potato plantations. Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University runs a Potato Research Station in Deesa. It is a small town with a non-functioning airport. This area is dotted with several temples such as Regiment Mahadev, Jalaram Mandir, Gayatri Mandir, Ramji Mandir, Resala Mahadev and Sai Baba Temple.
The place is surrounded by several tourist destinations such as Deesa Airport, Hari Manjil Palace, Satrah Sahid Dargah( Jalori Jagirdar Kabrastan-Juna Deesa-Deesa), Darbar Gadh-Juna Deesa, Sidhambica Temple, Banas Dam, Mount Abu, Goddess Amba Temple, Balaram, Pavapuri, Bhiladiyaji, Jain Temple and Ahmedabad. Deesa is also a major business station of north Gujarat.
