In addition to instrumental and vocal masterclasses, there are courses at various levels on subjects such as composition, opera, chamber music, conducting and improvisation. Courses include choirs, orchestras, individual masterclasses, and non classical music such as Jazz, Salsa and Gamelan. Composition teachers have included Luciano Berio, Luigi Nono, Sir Harrison Birtwistle, Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, Brian Ferneyhough, Witold Lutosławski and Elliott Carter.

Famous quotes containing the words summer and/or school:

In a valley late bees with whining gold
Thread summer to the loose ends of sleep....
    Allen Tate (1899–1979)

    And Guidobaldo, when he made
    That grammar school of courtesies
Where wit and beauty learned their trade
    Upon Urbino’s windy hill,
Had sent no runners to and fro
That he might learn the shepherds’ will.
    William Butler Yeats (1865–1939)
