Newspaper
The Dana Hills newspaper, originally called the Dolphin Dispatch from 1973 to ??, now simply known as The Paper, is produced by a staff of 28 students. Ten newspapers are produced a year, two of those being written by the journalism class and the other eight by the actual newspaper staff. Following Kris Evans's retirement at the end of the 2007–08 school year, Paige Prescott served as the newspaper's adviser for two years. Yearbook adviser Tim Sampson also became The Paper's adviser at the start of the 2010–2011 school year.

Famous quotes containing the word newspaper:
“Every day or two I strolled to the village to hear some of the gossip which is incessantly going on there, circulating either from mouth to mouth, or from newspaper to newspaper, and which, taken in homoeopathic doses, was really as refreshing in its way as the rustle of leaves and the peeping of frogs.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“A strange age of the world this, when empires, kingdoms, and republics come a-begging to a private mans door, and utter their complaints at his elbow! I cannot take up a newspaper but I find that some wretched government or other, hard pushed and on its last legs, is interceding with me, the reader, to vote for it.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“Whether or not his newspaper and a set of senses reduced to five are the main sources of the so-called real life of the so- called average man, one thing is fortunately certain: namely, that the average man himself is but a piece of fiction, a tissue of statistics.”
—Vladimir Nabokov (18991977)
