Dagenham Wind Turbines

The Dagenham wind turbines are three 85 m high Enercon E-70 wind turbines located on the Dagenham estate of the Ford Motor Company in east London, England. The first two turbines were completed in April 2004 and the third was installed in 2011. They are landmarks of the skyline and the first 'wind farm' to be built in London.

Famous quotes containing the word wind:

They are very proper forest houses, the stems of the trees collected together and piled up around a man to keep out wind and rain,—made of living green logs, hanging with moss and lichen, and with the curls and fringes of the yellow birch bark, and dripping with resin, fresh and moist, and redolent of swampy odors, with that sort of vigor and perennialness even about them that toadstools suggest.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)
