Creationist Objections To Evolution - Scientific Status

Scientific Status

A common neo-creationist objection to evolution is that evolution does not adhere to normal scientific standards—that it is not genuinely scientific. These objections often deal with the very nature of evolutionary theory and the scientific method.

Famous quotes containing the words scientific and/or status:

    Now, I hold it is not decent for a scientific gent
    To say another is an ass—at least, to all intent;
    Nor should the individual who happens to be meant
    Reply by heaving rocks at him to any great extent.
    Bret Harte (1836–1902)

    The censorship method ... is that of handing the job over to some frail and erring mortal man, and making him omnipotent on the assumption that his official status will make him infallible and omniscient.
    George Bernard Shaw (1856–1950)
