Cotton Hill

Cotton Hill (Born in September 1, 1923 and Died in June 5, 2007) was an American fictional character in the animated series King of the Hill. He is the father of Hank Hill, Good Hank Hill or "G.H.", Junichiro (his illegitimate half-Japanese son), and, according to him, two hundred seventy possible others. He is also a World War II veteran who had his shins "blowed off by a Japanman's machine gun" in combat, and later had his feet attached to his knees. This made him a foot shorter than his fellow family members and caused a characteristic waddle. According to Hank, Cotton was 6' 4" (1.93 m) with his shins and was 5' 0" (1.524 m) without. Despite his disability, he eventually reached the rank of Colonel in the Texas State Militia, and was addressed as such by his friends. Cotton was voiced by Toby Huss. Cotton Hill died in the 12th season of King of the Hill.

Famous quotes containing the words cotton and/or hill:

It is remarkable with what pure satisfaction the traveler in these woods will reach his camping-ground on the eve of a tempestuous night like this, as if he had got to his inn, and, rolling himself in his blanket, stretch himself on his six-feet-by-two bed of dripping fir twigs, with a thin sheet of cotton for roof, snug as a meadow-mouse in its nest.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

I remember the scenes of battle in which we stood together. I remember especially that broad and deep grave at the foot of the Resaca hill where we left those gallant comrades who fell in that desperate charge. I remember, through it all, the gallantry, devotion and steadfastness, the high-set patriotism you always exhibited.
    Benjamin Harrison (1833–1901)
