Cooking Mama Limited (Japanese: クッキングママ リミテッド Kukkingumama Rimiteddo) is a Japanese developer of video games. Most of their games were unreleased outside Japan and received no particular critical or commercial attention - notable exceptions to this are Cooking Mama for the Nintendo DS and iPhone OS, and Cooking Mama: Cook Off for the Nintendo Wii of the Cooking Mama series.
Originally known as "Office Create" (Japanese: 株式会社オフィスクリエイト Kabushiki-Gaisha Ofisu Kurieito), the company changed their name to Cooking Mama Limited as a positive response to its unanticipated success in the series, which has sold over four million units worldwide as of May 2009.
Famous quotes containing the words cooking, mama and/or limited:
“For the writer, there is nothing quite like having someone say that he or she understands, that you have reached them and affected them with what you have written. It is the feeling early humans must have experienced when the firelight first overcame the darkness of the cave. It is the communal cooking pot, the Street, all over again. It is our need to know we are not alone.”
—Virginia Hamilton (b. 1936)
“My Mama has made bread
and Grampaw has come
and everybody is drunk
and dancing in the kitchen”
—Lucille Clifton (b. 1936)
“The limitless future of childhood shrinks to realistic proportions, to one of limited chances and goals; but, by the same token, the mastery of time and space and the conquest of helplessness afford a hitherto unknown promise of self- realization. This is the human condition of adolescence.”
—Peter Blos (20th century)
