Organization
The Society functions under the guidance of an Executive Committee. The members of this Committee are elected by voting members of the Society. Functional head of the Society is the President and is assisted by the Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
As of 1 April 2012, Mr. Satish Babu (Director, ICFOSS) is the President of CSI, while Prof. SV Raghavan, Scientific Secretary at the Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor of the Government of India is the Vice President and President-elect, Mr. S. Ramanathan is the Hon. Secretary, and Mr. VL Mehta the Hon. Treasurer. The other members are the Regional Vice Presidents of Eight Regions and Divisional Chairpersons of Five Divisions viz. Division-I (Hardware), Division-II (Software), Division-III (Scientific Applications), Division-IV (Communications) and Division-V (Education & Research). Apart from the above the immediate Past President continue to be associated with the Executive committee. An elected Nominations Committee of three members conducts the annual elections.
