Competitions
CMS is an active participator in the nationwide Science Olympiad, First Lego League, and MathCounts competitions. The school is more well known for its academic achievements than its athletic achievements, having lost to its crosstown rival, Thomas Grover Middle School, in sports competitions for many consecutive years.
