Colonisation of Africa

The colonisation of Africa has a long history, the most prominent being Western colonization from the 19th century to the 20th century, when every part of the continent was colonized at least once. The modern colonial period began ending in the 1950s and fully ended by the 1970s, when power was given to independent states.
