Modern Day
Today, over 2000 visitors come to Cody Caves Provincial Park every summer. Visitors are guided through the caves on a one hour tour with a professional interpreter.
The caves are accessible to everyone, from expert cavers to novices and families. Special three hour long adventure tours as well as school and group tours can also be arranged.
As of September 2011, guided tours and cave access have been suspended to prevent the spread of fungal 'White-Nose Syndrome', an infection that is currently affecting bat colonies across North America. Cave visitors are advised not to carry caving gear from areas east of the Rockies into any BC caves, and enouraged to download and read the website's supplied documentation on White-Nose Syndrome and procedures for decontamination.

Famous quotes containing the words modern and/or day:
“O born in days when wits were fresh and clear,
And life ran gaily as the sparkling Thames;
Before this strange disease of modern life,
With its sick hurry, its divided aims,
Its head oertaxed, its palsied hearts, was rife”
—Matthew Arnold (18221888)
“The fox, he felt, had never seen his past disposed of like a fall of water. He had never measured off his day in moments: anotheranotheranother. But now, thrown down so deeply in himself, into the darkness of the well, surprised by pain and hunger, might he not revert to an earlier condition, regain capacities which formerly were useless to him, pass from animal to Henry, become human in his prison, X his days, count, wait, listen for anotheranotheranotheranother?”
—William Gass (b. 1924)
