In the 2011 federal election the most popular party was the SVP which received 29.8% of the vote. The next three most popular parties were the SP/PS (19.3%), the FDP (11.6%) and the GLP Party (11.5%).
The SVP received about the same percentage of the vote as they did in the 2007 Federal election (33.9% in 2007 vs 29.8% in 2011). The SPS retained about the same popularity (19.8% in 2007), the FDP retained about the same popularity (13.2% in 2007) and the GLP retained about the same popularity (11.5% in 2007).
