Brad Kern - Charmed

Kern was hired as the showrunner when the presentation pilot was sold to series, and shared the job of executive producer of Charmed with the show's creator Constance M. Burge for the first two seasons. Burge was fired by Kern in the second season. At the end of the series, he overtook ownership of the "Hero" version of the Book of Shadows. This version was the main and most complete one, pivotal to the shooting of the series usually kept under lock and key. The other prop versions were sold in auction. He and Holly Marie Combs were both candidates for who would keep the Book, but he won due to his argument stating the fact that he himself had written most of it.

Famous quotes containing the word charmed:

It is the fixed that horrifies us, the fixed that assails us with the tremendous force of mindlessness. The fixed is a Mason jar, and we can’t beat it open. ...The fixed is a world without fire--dead flint, dead tinder, and nowhere a spark. It is motion without direction, force without power, the aimless procession of caterpillars round the rim of a vase, and I hate it because at any moment I myself might step to that charmed and glistening thread.
    Annie Dillard (b. 1945)

It has always been thought perfectly womanly to be a scrub- woman in the Legislature and to take care of the spittoons; that is entirely within the charmed circle of woman’s sphere; but for women to occupy any of those official seats would be degrading.
    Susan B. Anthony (1820–1906)

    I think I could . . .
if I’d been different, or wise, or calm,
I think I could have charmed the table,
the stained dish or the hand of the dealer.
    But it’s done.
    It’s all used up.
    Anne Sexton (1928–1974)
