Blazing Skull

Blazing Skull

The Blazing Skull (Mark Anthony Todd) is a fictional superhero in the Marvel Comics universe, created during the 1930-'40s Golden Age of Comic Books for Marvel's predecessor, Timely Comics. He first appeared in Mystic Comics # 5 (March 1941), though his writer and artist creators are unknown.

The Blazing Skull should not be confused with Marvel's unrelated supernatural motorcyclist the Ghost Rider, who is depicted with a flaming skull. Also, the unrelated Marvel character Skull the Slayer (James Scully) briefly used the alias "Blazing Skull."

Famous quotes containing the words blazing and/or skull:

Show me two villages, one embowered in trees and blazing with all the glories of October, the other a merely trivial and treeless waste, or with only a single tree or two for suicides, and I shall be sure that in the latter will be found the most starved and bigoted religionists and the most desperate drinkers.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

O I shall hear skull skull,
    Hear your lame music,
    Believe music rejects undertaking,
    Limps back.
    Owen Dodson (b. 1914)
