Philosophy and Mission Statement

Philosophy:

Dr. Al Greene argues that Christians today should have what he calls "an alternative consciousness" and that they should recognize that the Christian worldview is distinctly different from the prevailing secular-humanist worldview that is prevalent in today's culture and public schools.

Mission Statement:

Our goal is to prepare young people to live fully for God in a rapidly-changing world, with the ability to understand, evaluate, and transform their world from the foundation of God's unchanging values.

Famous quotes containing the words philosophy, mission and/or statement:

The sun of her [Great Britain] glory is fast descending to the horizon. Her philosophy has crossed the Channel, her freedom the Atlantic, and herself seems passing to that awful dissolution, whose issue is not given human foresight to scan.
    Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826)

The mission of men there seems to be, like so many busy demons, to drive the forest all out of the country, from every solitary beaver swamp and mountain-side, as soon as possible.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

The new statement will comprise the skepticisms, as well as the faiths of society, and out of unbeliefs a creed shall be formed. For, skepticisms are not gratuitous or lawless, but are limitations of the affirmative statement, and the new philosophy must take them in, and make affirmations outside of them, just as much as must include the oldest beliefs.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)
