Sir Syed Sani Mawlana Syed Ali Shah Bukhari (born 30 November 1914) also known as Sir Syed Kashmir and Mirwaiz (Mir-Head; Waiz-Priest), Musleh Milat, a religious and political leader from Jammu & Kashmir,was associated with politics, as a means of helping his area to come up in socio-economic developmental works. His close associations with late prime minister, entailed establishment of tehsil headquarters at Beerwah and associated offices like the office BDO, educational institutions, innovations in the area, co-operatives, etc... Establishment of a primary health centre by Government and networking of roads, etc... were achieved due to his political leadership. He contested elections for Assembly twice in 1957 and 1977, once for constituency Beerwah and other for constituency Budgam one on behalf of National Conference (a political party in Kashmir) and one on behalf of Janata Party (a political party in capital New Delhi).
Mirwaiz Central Kashmir Molvi Syed Abdul Latief Bukhari is an Islamic prominent leader and clergy from Jammu and Kashmir. He is the Patron of jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Mazhar ul haq.He is chairman of ifhad-i-Milat j&k.Mufti wa Mirwaiz central Kashmir, Moulvi Syed Abdul Latief Bukhari,is also the representative of world forum for proximity of Islamic schools of thought.He is a master in Arabic and Persian and has done Masters in Islamic studies. He is mastered in philosophy, Hadith, tafseer, and Political science. He was elected the patron for AMH and Mirwaiz Beerwah wa Budgam after his father "Sir Syed Sani Mawlana Syed Ali Shah Bukhari" left for heavenly abode. He has attended many National and International conferences on Religion, International relations, Peace and Human rights in different parts of world. He has also been giving guest lectures in many seminaries. He runs shariat court and gives Islamic verdict. Latief Bukhari is the Islamic leader and is the "Mirwaiz" for central Kashmir.
